As a pianist, Sherilyn has attained many achievements and public appearances. She learnt the piano from a young age under tutelage of Natalia Sheludiakova. At the age of 8, she made her first public appearance as a soloist at the Sydney Opera House and has since performed at Sydney Town Hall, the Sydney Conservatorium as well as the Bundanoon recital series. In addition to public performances, Sherilyn has also won many gold and silver medals at prestigious Eisteddfods in Sydney and Warringah, and was awarded first prize in the Chopin Piano and 19th Century Music Sections of the Sydney Eisteddfod competition in 2012.
Sherilyn was awarded her LMusA at the age of 15, and has completed a Bachelor of Music (Performance) degree with Honours at the Sydney Conservatorium, studying under Dr Bernadette Harvey. Sherilyn has also received training from notable musicians such as Angela Hewitt, John Perry, Professor Seunghee Kim, Aquiles Delle Vigne, Phillip Shovk, David Miller and Marco Rapetti. Most recently, she has performed overseas as an accompanist in vocal recitals in Italy as part of the inaugural Estivo Music Festival.
Sherilyn is currently a Ministry Intern at South-West Chinese Christian Church and will be mentored by Karen Ko. She is also actively teaching piano, working as a piano accompanist and performing in concerts.
